Animal groups gathered on the Malecon in the late afternoon on November 21st to distribute information. PEACE did more than distribute flyers. Our vet performed sterilizations on three female kittens found on the Isla Cuale by people who feed cats there on a daily basis. The crowd was fascinated and impressed by the ease and meticulousness of the surgeries. The beautiful Siamese kitten was adopted by a lovely family visiting from Tepic and the pretty white and black kitten was adopted by an attractive middle-aged couple who live here. The third kitten will be in a foster home until adopted. This was a great opportunity to physically demonstrate what PEACE´s "Ayuda a los Animales" program does. The program is on track to preform over 4,000 free spay/neuters in 2012. Wow!
